IPDC signs 2026 FPP Grants to Advance Research on Gender Equality and Quality Education
The Instituto Profissional de Canossa (IPDC) today signed the funding agreement for the 2026 Small Grants Fund (FPP) at the Embassy of Portugal in Dili. The project is supported by Camões, I.P., through the Embassy of Portugal in Timor-Leste.
Sandcastle Design Competition – “My Sea, My Timor”
The Department of THC proudly participated in the sandcastle drawing competition held as part of the National Ocean Week, celebrated from June 3 to June 8, 2026. The event was organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Environment under the inspiring theme “My Sea, My Timor.”

This year, the celebration of 8 May—the liturgical feast day of Saint Magdalene of Canossa, the Foundress and Patron Saint of IPDC—was marked with great joy, unity, and enthusiasm through a variety of activities organized by each school.
Handover Ceremony of the SEIPCA Leadership to the New Team
On 8 May 2026, during the Holy Mass celebrated in honor of Saint Magdalene of Canossa, the official handover ceremony of the SEIPCA Student Organization leadership was solemnly conducted at IPDC. After the concluding prayer and before the final blessing, Vanessa do Carmo and the entire new leadership team stepped forward before the altar to make their pledge of fidelity and commitment to the responsibilities entrusted to them. The event marked an important moment of leadership transition and continuity within the student community.
IPDC Research Centre Conducts Capacity-Building Training for Junior Researchers
As part of the ongoing development of the Research Centre of the Instituto Profissional de Canossa (IPDC), a capacity-building training program is currently being conducted for junior researchers who will serve as research assistants in field-based research activities. The training aims to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to support data collection, organization, and analysis in applied research projects undertaken by the IPDC Research Centre.

With profound sorrow and deep sadness, we extend our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Dr. José Honório da C. P. Jerónimo, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Culture, who departed this life on 21 April 2026.
Promoting Laudato Si - Canossa V.E.R.D.E on Earth day
On 22 April 2026, in celebration of Earth Day, the members of the Students’ Senate of IPDC (SEIPCA) organized a meaningful tree-planting activity in JP II Hill to promote environmental awareness and contribute to the preservation of nature. From November 23 to 25, 2025, the Instituto Profissional de Canossa (IPDC) held a vibrant workshop organized by the CPA team, bringing together 26 enthusiastic members from Media IPDC and FdCC (students and sisters).

On October 9, 2025, the Instituto Profissional de Desenvolvimento Canossiano (IPDC) team visited the School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management (SHRIM) at De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) in Malate, Manila.
